I always thought that one of the cardinal rules of a cryptic clue was that the answer needed to be defined, either by the first or last word of the clue.
So, how is ENTWINED a definition of either wound or alcohol ?
Or am I barking up the wrong tree here ?
AH ! just seen it !...silly billy ! Its wound as in cotton wound around a reel, rather than a wound, as in a cut finger !
Clever clue !
