Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Help! I have Cliff Richard for 16a and The Bishop of Stepney for 30d but both use the letter F as one of their non intersecting letters - and there is only one F available. Where have i gone wrong?

Not everyone on here will have a copy of the crossword you are doing, however, I have seen someone else give the answer The Bishop of Stepney for 30d if that is of any help to you.

OK thanks Tinto. I wasn't sure about Cliff Richard but it is a celebrity with the letters -L-F- / --C-A-D and couldn't think of anyone else!

The full clue for 16a is 'Model film star's orchestra not accented, fruit (5,5). the answer is not entered, instead a lookalike of that answer should be entered into the grid. (5,7)

Hi Scorpiojo, the extra letters given at the bottom of the crossword are for non intersecting letters. There is one F. the F in Of (In Bishop of Stepney) and the second F in Cliff Richard do not intersect with oither answers, yet there is only one F available in the extra letters given at the bottom.

Hi Varlet, the 'of' doesn't intersect so you only need one f for Cliff

I'm having that trouble too, with quite a lot of the "available letters"! Has anyone managed to use the K? I've also used an extra H and two extra D's..... :-/
