Listener 4328: Reductio Ad Absurdum By Stick Insect

The title just about sums up my feelings about this one: sorry, Stick Insect, but I was hardly into gear before I finished. Perhaps we'll see a few newcomers to the Listener fold encouraged by an easier-than-usual puzzle.

Now I happen to think the last two are important, so I really enjoy puzzles like this one and last weeks. But looking back over 2014, I find the very best puzzles, in terms of enjoyment (sense of achievement?) for me, are more complex. For best of the year, I have six to nominate: 4286 (Radix - Fair Exchange), 4297(Aramis - Tetris), 4299(Stick Insect - PI), 4307(Wan - Prime spiral), 4312 (Rood - Carbon) and 4326 (Sabre’s coincidence). Any thoughts, anyone?
I'd need to see the solution on 4326 before commenting -- I think there was too much ambiguity, or at least there seemed to be, so that the final solution wasn't entirely clear. At least two or three plausible entries for the middle column.
Stick Insect's Pi puzzle was well-crafted but a short-cut to (most of) the final grid was possible. Otherwise I agree that those should be up there. Rood's effort would have got my vote, I think.
