Times Cryptic Jumbo 1131 Saturday 24th January. Thanks Scorpio for the advice to look at guidance notes. I'm a newby - can you tell? I did actually put in details of the crossword on my first post but they did not transpose onto the web but did not set out the clue text, but see below

48D German sustained musically, making note lowest (6) ?E?T?N

Any help would be greatly appreciated - these are my final clues to complete this not-so-easy crossword.
