Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Hello maurice,
Certainly not easy this week. I solved very few on the first pass through the clues. I concentrated on the Down Clues and after some attention to the clues in the rows placed a limitation on where the unclued row should be. As always there was at least one heavy hint in the clues, but not apparent until after a PDM! Wheel in more like this please!
Time for a preprandial Glenmorangie!

I really enjoyed this - one of the best of the year so far. Pretty tricky with the across clues being a) definition-less, b) more than one clue, and c) the fact that you couldn't be entirely sure where each fitted. Like DocHH, pinpointing the unclued row was pivotal. Bravo!

Is there a misprinted extra zero in the clue to 10 down? I was floundering for ages until the PDM provided by the last word of the warning. Even then, some clues proved very tricky. I was puzzling over the Highland cows for ages.

Hello Turast,
My version of the BRB states that 1, 2 or 3 0's can be used. Although for 3 it does have a line over it.
