Thanks bibblebub. I'd assumed that because the 3 key is just above the W it was a typo of know

chemistry was one of my favourite subjects at school and some of that learning has stuck even after all this time which made the connection to the answer easier to get

I have forgotten a lot from school can still remember the first 20 odd elements of the periodic table in order for some reason

Just this week I've downloaded a picture of the periodic table to set as the computer desktop wallpaper to try to re-learn it simply by having it as a picture in front of me - but only after I've learnt the map of the states of America. A question in University Challenge this week made me realise how little I knew of their locations and it struck me that using desktop wallpaper as an aide memoire might be a good technique.
