The answer to caution has to fit with BIRD (10) to which I have the letters -------O-E believing it to be pratincole. This makes the 3rd letter of caution an "R", Also the clue for mollified( 8) I believe to be appeased and so this gives me the "P" as the first letter, If wariness is correct then mollified will be 8 letters with "W" as the second one
