Fiction's link works, Bakdric.
EG

1a Pound/Beech
I could only see it once and now it's gone but from memory:

Take each pair of letters and read across or down and by trial and error try to find 2 words that use each letter. For example I think the top row reads POUND and BEECH
Looking at the bottom line

Take a letter from each of the 5 squares to make a word; the 4 letters that are left have to make another word; hence grids 1 and 2

so playing around you can find 'Style' and that then leaves you with 'Lusty'

All the across and down answers must run into two completed grids.

Does that make any sense?
Simply pick one letter from each square in the line across the top that form a word (in the order that they appear). If you've got it right, the remaining letters from each of those squares should also form a word.

So that appears to give BEECH (which goes in one copy of the grid) and POUND (which goes in a second copy of the grid).

Then proceed in a similar fashion to complete the two copies of the grid.
1d: bucks / peril
1d Peril/Bucks
oopps ...... 'the FIVE letters that are left'
I really must learn to type faster!
