This web-site keeps disappearing in mid-sentence.....no-where else does! Have got most of the clues finished but think I might be a bit awry on the entries as the perimeter looks a bit gobble-de-gooky so might have to have another look. Ginger Mog is currently on the knee purring at the screen.... sends his regards DocHH. Hint about my wrong entering might be appreciated! Anyone else out there???

I've just finished this, and like you I thought it looked like gobbledygook. You're probably ok, though. I does work out. You'll see why if you look at the Central column.
It looked like gobbledygook to me too for a while, but then I saw the point and it's a very well-worked effort from Piccadilly again. I don't get how he manages to set these using just pen, paper and a typewriter. First EV I've tried in a while, though!
^^^IT does work out, I meant.
Agree - a very enjoyable puzzle!
Hello All,
I have to say that the plethora of consonants displaced from the main body of the grid into the top row, and northern sections of the eastern and western columns led me to a fairly quick realisation of the "Two out of place". In fact that enbled me to populate the southern hemisphere of the grid quite quickly. A most enjoyable EV. At one point I did think that the "Two out of place" completed a pangram, how wrong can you be!
Pleased to hear Ginger Mog is still being of assistance in solving EV, and please give him my best regards. How is his apprentice progressing, both in farm-yard and crossword subjects? Is he likely at some stage to be more computer literate than G-M?
I am fortunate in that my 1 year old loptap, and a recently renewed cable between house and nearest telegraph pole seem to have improved my connection to the internet and even telephone connection!

Spent a pleasant morning on this. Clues very fair. Luckily I guessed the theme fairly quickly after getting the two letters in the top row. Not certain where the title comes from though. Any explanation gratefully received. Devadolly "Go West" and perhaps slightly south!!
I suppose the two letters you need to add are "two [letters] out of [the letters in the name of this] place". That may be giving too much away in itself.
