Good morning Retro.Did all go well yesterday?
Morning danny,
Started with ECG,Echocardiogram, ultra sound scan on backs of knees and cartoid artery's,respiratory lung function, blood tests for kidney functio, cholestrol at al. Super special CT Scan. Only 3 of the type in centres of excellence in the country. St Thomas's,St Georges and a hospital in Liverpool.
once all these results are seen by a professor of Vascular surgery then a decision will be made for surgery ( decision on Tuesday). It will have to bey key hole as I already have too many tram lines running down my chest and they can't do open surgery.
Not looking too good as I have still to get my cardio fibrillation sorted. I don't fancy a general anaesthetic for vascular surgery whilst my heart is jumping all over the place. Will keep you informed on Tuesay or Wednesday. :-)
Good luck retro. Keep the chin up, as they used to say...
Good grief Retro, sounds like a major overhaul
Retro, have just seen this! What a nightmare let's hope it can be resolved. Keep us up to date xxx
:-)
With all the Gel they plastered me with on the echocardiogram and later on the ultra sound scan on backs of Knees and cartoid arterys I thought I was getting an oil change as well. :-)
Oil's well that ends well!
Lol
Thank you for that michael. Morning Margo.
I said to the vascular clinical nurse who did some of the tests,"I don't suppose I am in the best of fighting fit health am I?"
She replied,"To be blunt. No". We both had a laugh.
I do like people who tell you how it is and I had that answer coming to me no error. :-)
Things are obviously not tickety-boo!!
Makes my problems seem trivial by comparison.
retro..sounds very comprehensive..hope it all goes well for you xxx
good morning Danny - just what I was thinking.
Good morning Margo & Minty.
Not all that bad.I still have a pulse (irregular) and I haven't lost the ability to swallow. :-)
I was saying to Mrs retro on way back from St Georges. I am truly lucky.
I have the Royal Marsden 10 mins drive up the road. Epsom General and St Helier both 10 mins away (both with A&E) and St Georges an hours ride on two buses and four tube stops away. Public Transport time an hour. Driving time 20 mins.
Some poor souls have to travel the length and breadth of the county to attend these centres of excellence. Puts things in perspective and makes you think it could be a lot worse. :-)
Good morning Minty. xxx :-)
Good Morning Retro,

Just seen your posts I do hope all goes well for you and thanks for all your help with the Daily Mail Crossword !!
Very true Retro, we too are lucky enough to have a hospital a 10 minute drive away. It's at times like this when the NHS comes into it's own! It sounds as though you are getting good care taken of you.
