New as I am to the observer I am struggling a bit. Some help would be appreciated.

15 ac. Former limb, e.g. missing leg snake has swallowed back (6) SPAL_E
16 ac. Child in tangle making dough (5) _CHRE. I thought this was child = c inside lure = (en) tangle or trap making lucre = dough, money but it doesn't fit with the rest of the grid
25 ac. Standard money, what earner brings home, last placed elsewhere (5) BANC_. Surely the answer is BANCO but I can't figure it all out; the second half is I think COIN minus IN

25a - anagram of 'bacon' - as in earning = bringing home the bacon

But what has ochre to do with dough, or ore to do with tangle?

tangle =ore (confirmed in Chambers)
Ochre is a slang word for money (dough) esp gold, also confirmed in Chambers.
