I started doing the i paper crossword, when the prize puzzle was on a Friday, and that must be a couple of years ago now. I liked the look of the PURE digital radio, but I see now that the prize is a much cheaper, inferior Goodmans model !

I have had to cut down on my prize entries at the weekend, as it is getting a bit expensive, what with buying the papers and the ever-increasing postage.

I have also stopped buying the Sunday Times. I used to look forward to reading it and the prizes were so marvelous. But its steadily dumbed down over the years. Instead of good arts coverage, its now all about pop music and "celebrities" I should have stopped reading it when the separate literary section was done away with years ago. Anyway, I have won three Cross Fountain Pens over the last few years, so maybe its time to give it a rest !

I read the Guardian every day and I would do their crosswords again, if they only changed that stupid bloody prize....I have won it twice in recent years, and certainly don't want any more of those ruddy books !

Anyway, its not been the same since Araucaria died.
