It sounds like a Scottish one- maybe Nicola Sturgeon is the setter - so could just be hope - maybe there is a slogam about hop. Never heard SNP refer to UDI though- only heard that for Ireland

I'm signing out for a bit. Typing in the AB answer box is a real struggle- the letters appear about 10 seconds after I type them and moving cursor back to correct typos doesn't seem to work

The crossing clue was Reagan's wife so Nancy looks okay. So that would give A?D?N
The pattern given on Crossword solve is also A?D?T unless davey hasposted on there too.
Can you explain the T please davey?

Donny, the answer to 23d was found to be Dutch which was Reagans nickname and also a name for a wife(as in my old dutch)
