Very sad to hear about the death of Tantalus(Donald Yerrill) the main setter of TLS crosswords.He was 92 so had a good run!Composing almost to the end.
A couple of teasers this week which has a musical theme running through it.
Fugues composed by Eric Satie initially without right meticulousness(10) I assume it's an anagram of the composer plus 1 other letter,but which?
Where you might read The Riddle of the Sands as a rule? (4) I cannot get any angle on this one.
Ideas on a lovely morning please.
