For anyone who has not read H.H. Munro's short stories (aka Saki) may I recommend them. They are the classic 'Twist in the Tale'. Even though they are over 100 years old now they still make for entertaining reading. Allegedly Munro's last words, as a sergeant in WWI were to a soldier who had lit up a cigarette in the trenches. 'Put that bloody light out!' At this point a German sniper noticed the faint glow and shot Munro dead.
