I don't, but will have a go if you want to post clues. :))

Thank you, sir. There are two I simply cannot work out.
The first is: Ark he looked after when a writer returned a poor review (8). I have ??i?a?a?.
The other is: Best to take a month and look into this Amorite town. (7) I have ?i???o?
The first letter of the clue above is the fourth letter of this answer.
Help with either would be wonderful!

Abinadab

A bin (writer/nib reversed) + anagram of a bad
Are the answers biblical at all?
Yes Tilly, I think so
Question Author
Thank you Toorak.
And Tilly2, they are a mix. Some are very biblical but others are what I ( but as some know, I am pretty new to solving crosswords. Started in my old age but am becoming a bit of a junky!) would call ordinary cryptic clues
2. Aijalon?
Question Author
Just looked up Abinadab. Fascinating! I suppose I should have known that the Ark of the Covenant came from here but I didn't. That is one of the many pleasures I am getting from crosswords. I learn new things! At my grand age that is a real pleasure.
Alan Meld
Aijalon is correct.
Nice one cashier (I'd got the A1 = best + Lo = Look but ran out of steam)
Best. Ai
Month. Jan with lo in
Those clues were beyond my capabilities. :-(

I'm glad you are enjoying your crosswords, Alan.
Question Author
My cup runneth over! Again just had a quick crib of Aijalon. Battles in the Old Testament are so fascinating. Now that I have finished the crossword ( thank you so much all of you. You have been amazingly generous) I shall read a bit more about both of these new areas of knowledge. Sorry, that sounds very pretentious!
Again thank you!

The Tablet is an RC publication so many of the clues are obscure biblical references.
Question Author
Tilly2. They were WAY above my pay grade. But you are all so kind on this site. It has been another pleasure, just seeing how good people are in helping others! Alan M
I think it's nice Alan that you say Thank you, so many people don't. Happy crosswording!
