I suspect that you didn't study Classics at school.
'Vinology' would be combining Latin ('vin') and Greek ('ology'). That occasionally happens with some 'artificial' words' (such as 'television', which is Greek+Latin) but it's usually a good bet that the Greek 'ology' will have a Greek prefix before it).
