That leaves 23ac here once the large gut infected what precedes BSE
I have ?t?a?d Is it Utgard? If so BSE is not mad cow disease.
And confirm 26ac is rut for contracted rarely used tongue muscle.
23a - Yes - Utgard (Norse home of giants; here, once, the large) - anag 'gut' + 'ARD' (letters precede BSE)

26a Lat(in) - contracted, rarely used tongue & lat(issimus dorsi); muscle
