2 down Barry is reportedly fair on 78
D-A--R
The crossword theme is cricket, so the answer could be a cricketer. Looks like Draper perhaps but I cannot parse it.

I've no answer to this, but might I suggest the OP looks at Page 78 of the magazine (if there is one) to see if that's any help?

Struggled to find anything last time you posted, hopefully some new eyes can help.

Been looking at this for quite some time, Mike, but can't see anything. Full crossword isn't visible on M's link, so are you sure those letters are correct? From the little I can see the D comes from HADLEE?
If you scroll down the page should move along GG.

Pressreader can be fickle though.
It looks as if the A is from Bradman and the R is from InRoads.
Cricket or not I just can't get a grip on anything with this one.
Barry Doe is a Fare and Ticketing buff and works for the Magazine but that gets me no further.

I thought 78 may relate to record.
Not too convinced Barry is a Christian name - could be the town?
Hard to work RPM or similar in, good thought about the page 78 - worth a look.
Of course it could Dave, yes.

Barry Doe's Fare Dealer column is indeed on page 78! So that's it isn't it? Many thanks for the input, I feel dim for not spotting that
Thanks again
The answer is Dealer, Barry Doe is named as the Fare Dealer as LiK stated above on page 78.
So glad it's sorted.
I'm glad that idea was useful - good luck with your entry, Mike :-)
Pleased about that - good thinking LiK
Glad this has been solved, but couldn't have been without the magazine!
The online preview didn't let you go as far as page 78.
