It's the 10 bit that is confusing me- tha cold aso be the " io" in lion but then i can't see the eleven
Is ita ref to Lion witch and wardrobe- i can't see teh xmas bit
Just reread my 18:55 post and noticed my keyboard was playing up.
i'll retype it:
I agree that lion looks like N0 i1 backwards but that doesn't explain the 10. The ten bit could give the " io" in lion but then I can't see where the eleven fits in and where the LN comes from
The German king in 1011 was Henry 11 which made me wonder. I need to look at the Lion in Winter film- that was probably our later Henry 11 though who was 12th century.
I'm off track i think.
Just seems odd to use ten to indicate "No" but I have always been puzzled by some RTE clues
I think clue was wrong as it said 1011 on another thread. These must have been references to other clue/solution numbers, the answer to 10 being Henry 11 so it makes a bit more sense to me now,
Grrrr (that's my lion impression)
The actual clue said KING not thing.
The answer to 10 and 11 were Henry the second.
As if RTE isn't difficult enough with the correct clue, but I do like a challenge.
1 to 16 of 16
Do you know the answer?
