Finished this but can some one parse these three?

The answer is an anagram of Satire beginning with A.

17. English composer rendering poet's 'Abode of the Departed' (4)
It is 5 letter word for the underworld but entered as 'a??s.

31. What's wrong, money going to reverse ulceration?(7, 2 words)
The answer is a dance F?? T???.

31 - I don't know where 'the answer is a dance' came from. It's not on my copy.
I stick by the Arties suggestion. I think Bunthorne was a satire on the aesthetic movement which included arty ideas and and arty types. Arties is quite possible an accepted term for arty types
It is yes, in Chambers as such.
I think that hankir was just indicating that the solution he had (wrongly) arrived at was a dance
