Can't see this at all.
28a. Plant consisting of two leaves (9) F?I?H?E?S. Only two words I can find are Faithless and frightens and can't parse either.
Hope and Charity leave, so it's Faith less the two leaves.
Or the plant is Faithless with only the Hope and Charity leaves.
Curious to see what the Sunday Express say tomorrow!
Leaving 28a aside (sigh), I've just had a trawl through all today's Express Skeleton queries. 22 of the clues have been asked for - funny how some of us find some clues 'easy' which are 'tough' to others and vice versa.
Just saying - I don't do the crossword for myself.
Just had a call from Sunday Express. The clue for 28 Across should be the clue for 27 Across and 28 Across is now: This false deviant is disbelieving. Haven't solved them yet. Thought I'd get the info out first
