What is a Subscribed Post ?

Haras, it's when you get emails with answers/responses to the post. It's done by clicking the box on the right, at the top.

Did you click on the 'Subscribe' box? If you did, it should now be showing 'Unsubscribe'. I think you'll only get emails if other posters add responses - otherwise there would be nothing for you to see!

Haras, try it another time - maybe on a thread where you'd expect lots of responses! It's quite straightforward.

If it's showing on your screen as a 'subscribed post' in a list , then it's because the autosubscribe to your own questions is enabled in your profile.

You can change that by going to your profile and editing it.

Thanks for that info, Mamya - I didn't know that. I've subscribed only a couple of times - and those were by accident, when I was scrolling around!

You'll get emails advising you that you've got an answer to your post if you tick 'email me when I get an answer' when you first post your question. (i.e. you'll be 'subscribing' to your own thread).

You can also have things configured so that you're automatically subscribed to all of your own questions. (To set that up, or to cancel it, click on 'View your profile' and then on 'Edit My Profile'. The relevant check box is at the foot of the page).

You can subscribe to any other thread (so that you're advised whenever there's a new post on it) by clicking on the 'Subscribe' button at the top of the thread.
