Where is Rossendale?, I cant find it on my many road atlases
or the Readers' Digesr guide to Britain, just beginining to
realise why I don't win as much as I did.

Rossendale is just north of Manchester, to the west of Rochdale. A lovely place, actually, with a very nice golf club. Ask Boo. She'll tell you!

Thanks for your help I did see Rossendale
museum on one map so I had a rough
idea where it is, might give it a visit I'm
not too far away (90 miles or so)

Jobjockey, if you're going to Rossendale, quite nearby is something called The Haslingden Halo, a modern sculpture that is meant to resemble a UFO. It's best viewed at dusk. It has light sensors that glow at night. It's a bit tricky to get to as you have to walk the last half mile, but well worth it.
