It's nice and cool now, so after my tea I am going out to tweak a few things on the balcony. I think night gardening can be very useful. I used to collect loads of slugs then I put them out for the birds in the morning. Then I wondered why I had more blackbirds than sparrows. The magpies and crows preferred them from the slugpubs. Then again so did Reggie the Hedgie he used to bury his nose in and help himself. I had to make sure they were well pegged down.
Those living around the Med have it right, have a siesta, far more sensible to work while it's cooler - as long as the neighbours don't call the police because they think you're being burgled, gness. I've noticed the weeds are thriving, think I'll just plant weeds in future if summers are going to be like this!
