swan lake?
Don't know why it would be though other than he wrote it
10 swan lake
1 Blow it away
17 Gymnasium
Swan Lake / Blow it Away / Gymnasium
Is there another explanation for Swan Lake please other than Tchaikovsky wrote the ballet? I can't work out why they said 'conducted'= is there a play on words I'm missing. The letters WAS at the start of the clue feature in SWAnlake but there is nothing to give th rest of an anagram so can't be that. Cheers
Anyone please?
Not seeing any real cryptic, apart from playing with the word 'Was' at first...
Thanks. I'm wondering whether we have the full clue here or whether it leads on from the preceding clue. The word 'conducted' suggests to me it's something to do with electricity/lightning (or buses!)
I thought the word conducted was an anagram indicator, but realised there was no anagram there. It would be nice if lorus put the letter pattern in when he/she asks for help.
Maybe previous answer was ANKLE so anagram of WAS ANKLE
Apparently ankle was not an answer or part of this crossword so I guess it's just an odd clue
