Thanks for the background info on CCF. Not sure that I am ready for it just yet. I have heard of Mary Webb (there's a place in North London call after her but that's about the limit of my knowledge). And the others who are referred to are new names to me. So , maybe a wait while I get a few other books under my belt might be best.
