Another tough puzzle but not as bad as last week's by a long chalk.

Once the entry method had been deduced it was much easier to make progress; initially I spent much time staring at the clues without much to see for it.

The NW corner was the toughest for me.

Thanks, Twin, for an entertaining puzzle -- the theme, alas, has never really been my cup of tea.

This seemed like a breeze after last week's brain-crusher, but of course it wasn't easy at all. There were some very tough clues (I spent ages on 13 down) but as Emcee says, progress was much easier after working out the method of entry. For once I worked out what was to be highlighted quite early on, which helped considerably.

When I was a nipper the theme played a significant part in my life almost to the point of obsession, but these days it's of no interest to me at all. Thanks Twin.

Solving given a massive boost by working out the entry method. At first I thought it was another real grinder, but it turned out pleasantly taxing

Well that was a nice puzzle - difficult to get started, but gradually opening up and then a canter to the finish once the entry method was fully understood. A proper old-school Listener and very welcome indeed.

Not as tough as last week’s, but still pretty hard. I found the last step a little odd - it didn’t quite tie together thematically for me. But despite that, it was a very enjoyable solve with a few nice PDMs on the way. And some very nice, deceptive wordplay.

Agree with comments. Good puzzle but the last step does seem a bit pointless.
