Fest - gathering or - men?
That's how I did it quine59.
There's a few I can't parse this morning: "Men in magazine mostly lay hands on trousers" (_L_K_S) - I have "BLOKES" but I can't see why; "Drink for one running, heartlessly rejected" (E_G_O_) - EGGNOG?; "Do it bent over on small potty" (B_N_E_S) - BONKERS?
...ok, I just worked out BLOKES but I still can't see the other two.
Is it Gone backwards plus GG (horse/runner)?
Bonkers looks okay- as in potty.
Is it bonks and RE (on) backwards?
Actually- bonk not bonks. The S comes from small
GG as the HEART of LESSLY backwards, perhaps? I'd have to squint a lot to see that.
I'll concede BONKERS, but I really don't like any of them.
Yes, GG is right but I can't justify the GONE backwards
I also couldn't parse it but wondered whether it had anything to do with gonged (rejected)
The OR in forest is Other Ranks (soldiers) men.
I had...

15. eg (for one) + [go(i)ng "rejected"] = eggnog
