i have a full grid and all the extra letters ...but they dont make a lot of sense( old russia , vitamin ....) No idea what's next to get the designation and the single word...

I get immigrant visa at the end. But not sure of what comes after Belarus.

It is interesting to see that you can choose UN or NU as extra letters and that makes a big difference.

So I have 7, 4, 10, 3, 12, 4.

But not sure what Avia is doing in the middle.

Is this a cryptic clue to be broken?

It's a carrier (aero), hankir - all 3 give the same result.

It's difficult to hit on the correct designation with wiki, but the vitamin gets you there - and then wiki will tie the other two into it.
