Why do "eggy" and not "edgy"? and "macramn" rather than "macrame" seem to fit with these 2 clues? Have I gone completely off piste here, or is the online version of this puzzle missing some special instructions? Help please!

You couldn't possibly see your way to showing us the clues, could you?
Eggy - last letters , means 'irritated'

Macrame - Ram in Mace
Hi Superkiwigirl & welcome to AB - it's always nice to post the full clue so that people without the puzzle can more readily help :-)

10a Irritated by ultimately adorable, charming gurgling baby? (4)
17a Staff transporting stuff for ornamental work (7)

10a Eggy (irritated) - '(adorabl)e (charmin)g (gurglin)g (bab)y' (ultimately)
17a Macrame - 'mace' (staff, transporting) 'cram' (stuff)
Apologies, I mistyped - Mamya has 'macrame'

Hi All, And thank you so much for your quick and helpful responses. I couldn't get past "eDgy" for "irritated" (didn't find this usage of "eggy" in my online Chambers) nor did I see that "macrame" = "mace around ram" instead of "man around cram". Reminder to self to take off blinkers! I've not joined up to this marvellous site previously, but have been an occasional and grateful follower for a long time.
Eggy for irritated was new to me too.
