33. Piece = definition, a very common crossword use. 'Black' is the usual, 'grass' is being used as a verb. The other letter is involved in the thematic stuff.
34. 'Chance' is the definition. The usual Hospital, then a shortened version of a word meaning 'annex' (is unfinished).
45 A slang, casual word for 'food' in general. Charcuterie = X, then remove the first letter(unopened).

47. Just an anagram, an old word for 'flame'.
37 - contained in clue, remembering the preamble/thematic stuff. 'Behaviour' is the definition.
