1) One clothed in a nudist camp has words with vile men stripped down (7) T?X?I?E The answer is, unsurprisingly, TEXTILE, but I do not understand either the definition or the wordplay.

2) Money flowing out of London indexes at first ($) ?U?D The answer is QUID, so I can at least understand the definition, but can't parse the rest at all.

2 Liquid, flowing - remove the first letters (at first) of London indexes... Quid.
Textile - 'text' (words) + '(v)il(e) (m)e(n)' (stripped down)

Thanks to both of you. Sadly, I can't select Best Answer for both of you. It seems to me that it's becoming more & more common recently for Chambers either to have the word but not the definition (TEXTILE) or not even the word (ABBOZZO). Shame, really, as I've tended to rely on it so much.
My Chambers doesn't have that definition of 'textile', but my Concise Oxford does - strange, it's usually the other way round!
