J(unki)e w(ith)
1 j(unki)e w(ith)
gutless means removing the middle letters
Gutless junkie means remove the 'innards' of 'junkie', and you get j - e, then you add 'w' from 'with' to get jew's harp.
3. on the air is an anagram of another, plus I = one.
What one may be called after (Def. Namesake)standing (Name) a drink out East (Sake)
2 - should the clue read "...endeD..." ?

3 On the air - anag 'another i (one)'
Cotton on - if something looks to be on, it's quite likely
