I thought the answer was going to be (Mount) Hereb, which would be Hebrew without the W, not west. When I checked, the mountain is definitely Horeb, so that didn't work!

Maybe the crossword compiler thought the mountain was called Hereb and not Horeb? Does the "o" fit in with the rest of the answers?

Came across same clue (Dan Word) and answer was Horeb. Downloaded the Wee Stinker crossword for today and word is Hebrews (not Hebrew) not that it seems to make any difference!
