Good afternoon, I’m stuck on the following from Doc’s offering for which I would appreciate answers, please! Thanks in advance!
29(A) Worried Australian ran away to historical East European area (7):
L??A?I?
33(A) At first, awfully naughty, greedy little boy could be obtuse (6):
???LE?
40 (A) Lowers old manor houses, we’re told (7) : D???A??
34(D) Grappler on and off revealing width of fish-hook (4) : ??P?
Good morning, thanks for the hints. Not so sure about 33a (angler) and 40a(demeans). As far as the Unclueds, I gather they all start with the same three letters in reference to Janus for the new year but am still unsure about completing them. Some hints would be appreciated, thanks.
Matakari, I think it would be really difficult to give any more hints to the Unclued entries. Tracking them down in Chambers could be good fun, have a go!
Many thanks, NACW! I'm still away on Christmas holidays and unfortunately miles away from my Chambers. No, I'm missing the thrill of tracking the outstanding unclueds. Just to confirm what I have, thanks:
1a - JANEI?E
6a - JANE DOE
12a - JAN?TO? (JANITOR)
1d- JANN?C? ( JANNICE )
6d - JAN?A?ID
22d - JANSENISM
26d - JANKE?S
27d - JANS?YS
28d - JANGLE
Good morning, yes, I see JANJAWID for 6d, but still do not see ow it fits with the others. Before I abandon, can anyone tell me if my letters for the other Unclueds are correct? Thanks in advance!
