Empty space = S(pac)E + DANS = In in French

Thanks, Kerrymar - in that case, something wrong indeed, at their end I would suggest. "Recaps" might've been the answer to a different clue & the change wasn't made all the way down the line - it certainly doesn't work with the clue given.
