Hello
Another odd one with some very easy clues and ( like Saturday) some that I k” know” the answers but don’t know why. Two examples of the latter:
Sweet sauce not quite cold with some hot bananas. I’m confident ( because it fits and the first word of the clue is the definition) is chocolate mousse. But why?
Brick carrier one to ensure patient progress. Like the othe clue I’m confident that the answer is stretcher bearer . But why brick carrier.
No great rush tonight. No bath ….it’s not Saturday
Great to hear from you again, LiK! Thank you. We are well. I hope you are too.
I didn’t think of “ bananas” being the way to say anagram. And I didn’t know that a stretcher can be a type of brick. So you can see why I struggled!
I should have added that Never a Crossword helped me at the weekend. Her last message came when I was already in the bath and, while I tried to reach her next day, I don’t think it worked.

A stretcher is not really a type of brick; it is an ordinary brick used in a certain way, i.e. it appears on the face of the wall showing its long side, rather than showing its end.
