I thought the gridfill was OK. Many of the clues were pretty straightforward allowing a well-timed PDM to resolve the difficulties and confirm the theme.

The two unclued entries were fine once the context of the preamble was understood.

The final part is perhaps controversial. But, unless I'm barking up the wrong tree, it's a case of "once bitten, twice not".

Yes, the less said about the final instruction the better. Apart than that, this was neat and well-crafted. I particularly liked the mechanics of the thematic entries and the mapping of the unclued entries. The letter corrections were also good - I found only one alternative among them.

Finally have a completed grid after much thematic googling to complete the unclued entries - but not at all sure about the highlighting. Looks like there is some uncertainty amongst the team

We think we found 11 squares to shade but also another seven, which was strange.
