At a loss with 35A and 39A - every other part done - except the third letters in each of these ie non crossers - finished completely when I've filled these - thanks for any help - my eyes are dizzy!

35a - the answer is in the clue once the 'r' in 'super' is ignored.
39 - anag. 'rotter' (a thematic entry).
