Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

What's the deal with The Guardian prize today? I've filled in the grid but it seems to need special instructions as some defining parts are missing. Looking at the comments, we're supposed to be able to 'get it' but I'm afraid I can't. Anyone help please?

There are 10 (I think) undefined items of a kind in the answers, with another that does have a definition in the wordplay (that one's at 4d).

True - there are definitely instructions missing... I've finished the crossword and the missing parts are all part of a theme!

I'm not sure if I like the undeclared incomplete clueing - what does anyone else feel?

I agree, fraseralex, I can't see the point of not mentioning it. The Guardian setters do have a lot of leeway, then again it might've been an editorial slip not to include an instruction.
