Clue Chain

Many years ago on another forum I started a game I called CLUE CHAIN. The idea is that the setter poses an original home made clue which everybody is invited to solve. The poster who solves the clue first (hopefully identified by the setter) is then invited to post their own original clue. If anybody is interested in playing my clue is

Julian and Sandy were homosexuals. Their dialogue included many made-up words which apparently were used by such folk when conversing with each other.    Ooooh, bona Mr Horne !

Don't be so despondent, I had in fact just cracked it but discovered your answer when i came to input it - if you had delayed one more minute I would have got there.
