I thought the clues were set at the ideal level of difficulty -- difficult but not so fiendish as to lose the all-important enjoyment factor.

The endgame is curious; no problem with the final bits but the outline I have I wouldn't like to bet money on being correct. I know what it should represent and to all intents and purposes it does, but I'm also aware with the Listener puzzle that if there's any doubt then your solution is probably wrong.

Thanks, Flowerman. An interesting puzzle.

I was a test-solver for this one, nearly 2 and a half years ago ( -how long is the queue these days?) It took me around 6 hours then to complete it, but it was much quicker yesterday, obvs. This is a kind of a cross between a puzzle by Hedge-sparrow and one by Sabre - very inventive, but with some challenging clues.

We agree about the clues but just couldn’t be bothered with the grid stare.

Thanks, Flowerman.

Once I figured out what was going on, the detail in the preamble made perfect sense - and gave a pleasing outcome. Tough clues - still can't parse a couple of them

I spotted my error which occurred with the choice of a single point. It now looks alot more like it should do. Stupid of me for not picking it up sooner.

It's just as well I don't submit any more otherwise that would have been another All Correct gone for a Burton.
