I went for toady as in crosswords a fawning flatterer is often a toady, plus theres toad in the hole!

 

I can't find a word yet with that meaing begining with p.

So wondering if you could let us know what gives the p?

Puzzle 35 is now available & they've definitely reprinted the clue for 27d from last week.  With no way of knowing what should be inserted for P?A?, I would assume that they'll call the puzzle null & void. 

However, it might be worth entering with a ? in each empty cell on the chance they'll accept all otherwise correct entries.
