Actually I don't ....know your feelings .What do you mean "tick in the box" ? Is this because of the argy bargy about people anwering quiz questions ?

I don't think you have done anything wrong, shaney. and it would not be for me to say so anyway. I just have a personal reluctance to answering a multiple question where there is no suggestion it follows sustained effort. I repeat that this is a personal view and it is not one which I seek to impose on AB or any individual.
I sincerely regret that my post came right on the heels of yours.

Oh dear.....I am now very relucant to post my four FT clues which have been giving me grief most of the afternoon ! In fact if I can't fathom them out the paper will go in the bin rather than lower myself to ask on here any more .

Shaney, thank you so much, to the other poster, my mother does these crosswords week in week out and spends a lot of time researching answers using different methods, I have asked a few questions on here in the past, hardly any and she text me to ask me to post to clarify some of the answers she was unsure of.
