Thanks C

I think this one could be a gentle introduction for those ABers not used to tackling this type of crossword.

Good luck all.
yes you dont need to dilly-dally around with this one
morning. I've just printed it off, it my second attempt at a cryptic. It looks awfully difficult to me! I have answered two but not sure if they are correct

I quite agree kaya-kamina - certainly a tip-top puzzle, though maybe not so easy-peasy !
Thanks again cruciverbalist.

Congratulations to kettledrum whose name I see now that I have printed it off!!
ABers seem to be on a winning streak at the moment.
Thanks Slaney. That is a lovely surprise, particularly so as I thought I'd posted it and had forgotten to highlight the required word!

And thank you Cruciverbali for posting this crossword every Thursday. I have a subsciption, and it frequently doesn't arrive in the post until Saturday - and on bad weeks not until Monday!

You are most welcome Kettledrum, Slaney, and of course everyone else - it's super-duper to see winners' names from amongst our numbers !
Okey- Dokey Cruciverbali that's enough Mumbo- Jumbo for today.

K
Hmm, what are you all suggesting I wonder? Thanks for the link, cruciverbalist, I'm heading that way now.

Cheers BigMac ! Sorry about this silly game of Ping-Pong, I hope the riff-raff haven't spoiled your enjoyment of this one. I prefer a sing-song to a ding-dong any day, though it does look like someone has already made Chris cross
Thank you yet again for the link.
Cruciverbali

Thanks for the link to Chris Cross.

I recall us both getting a terrible telling off for helping someone with the Listener, so I now keep well away.

Regards K

My pleasure Novalis - please excuse all this fiddle-faddle !
hot topics at the mo (repeated)

to add to the debate discussed elsewhere re: the hardest cryptic crossword currently - i have done my first ev today thanks to your download and didnt take me long, also been doing the spectator for a few weeks now (again thanks to your links) but i still feel the listener is the hardest - although i am getting better at them.

and concerning the other debate re this site and the listener - well i dont see any moral issues regarding giving help. i think the best thing about all the crosswords above is the satisfaction of the penny dropping moment - not the prestige of winning (as i dont usually send them off). so if help is at hand why not use it. it has helped me improve.

Your comments are appreciated, thank you Midazolam - these puzzles are great fun, and I'm glad you and so many others enjoy them.

After all this bibble-babble and general hubble-bubble I'm feeling quite sleepy - time to get into jim-jams I think !

Cruciverbalist
Hi Cruciverbali - have just noticed all the hoo-ha and about to download the crossword - thanks
Question Author
Hi Christiana - certainly plenty of ribble-rabble today on this thread ! Hope you enjoy the puzzle !
Even my wishy-washy brain got me through this one.

There are no nit-wits on this site Novalis, even if a few silly-billies have joined us recently.

Think I'll put my feet up now with a nice cuppa, a Kit-Kat and this week's Listener
