Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

The special instructions state that there are twelve clues which should be changed, but I've completed it and can only find eleven. Has anyone found all twelve?

I made it eight across clues and four down. 16a was the only dodgy one as far as I could see at the time.

I've only got three down clues that fit: 1d, 5d and 17d, so I guess I must have an incorrect answer somewhere! The others all seem to fit and are regular cryptic clues...

I haven't finished this yet, but can suggest 20D as a down answer that is, in my opinion, a definite candidate.
I cannot see how 16A (or 16D for that matter) can be a candidate.

Thanks, got it! 16a changes in accordance with 14d, and fits all parts of the clue.

I can confirm that 16ac is one of the twelve.

OK. I can see that 16A is indeed 1 of the 12 now.
What was fooling me is that this appears to be the only one where the changing letter is unchanged in the crossing answer.
Still not finished but just one to get now.

Finished and submitted now - phew - and I now realise that 16A is NOT the only one as described above. Ho hum.

I have found 11 clues and I think 18ac is the 12th.

18ac:
Pop star's bird retaining her cockney-style live sound (8)

Is the answer St(er)(l)ing which when changed gives starling (bird)?
