5 across : it shows high water position 8)
9 across: the ---- painting by Leonardo (4,6)
11 across : fit, modest (8)
12 across : speaking (6)

I have 5 across now: answer is tidemark
I have 12 across : answer is saying
9 across was kindly given to me answer is last supper
so that only leaves 11 across : the clue is fit,modest (8) and I think the answer is behoving

If you have used tippex in a prize crossword puzzle do they discount it / disallow it when they receive it ?

I always have to alter mine!!
I use the Tippex mouse micro tape, it's better than the ordinary Tippex

I was told very seriously that any erasures disqualify
entries, and tippex certainly does that! Why not do
what I have done ever since being given the word - write in
pencil and go over in ink before posting

According to Chris Feetenby, (Puzzle Meister), a few months ago, alterations are certainly allowed providing the new answer is clearly visible.

And I have won twice despite tippexed entries. Too hasty sometimes but rufuscat suggests a good idea...
