After an easy Listener numerical this week, why not take a look at something a little more challenging ? The last of the EV 700s is Killer by Dysart

thanks for the link c
hi cruciverbalist and thanks
the EV in my paper is 'worthy of note by glow worm' ?
( am I missing something )
I have "Worthy of Note" by Glow-worm in the magazine too, and, for once the grid was relatively easy to complete. The three highlights are easy to find, but I am not sure of all of the misprints. The only anagram I can find is "crotales" which is not in Chambers and I don't have any answers beginning with"c" !

As to the crossword on-line as "Killer" by Dysart, do we complete two crosswords and send both in ?

Presumably there are two separate competitions this week - I would be interested to see Glow-worm's puzzle, if someone could please scan it and e-mail to me
([email protected])

C
Unfortunately my scanner is not working but lke Ulysses 100 I was soon in tune with "Worthy of Note".

Maybe "Killer" will appear next Sunday.

For Ulysses100 I have missprints at across 22 ( I think ) but definitely 25, 33, 48, and down 12, 26, 40 and 42.

For the word to go beneath the grid think of the Biblical David.
Thank you novalis. The missing letter (s) is from 19ac I think. The instrument is better than the one that I had mistakenly worked out (my O came from ogre).
cruciverbalist, sorry that I can't send you a copy either. However I have completed the Killer grid as well (two EVs in a day is a bit of a challenge !). I cannot for the life of me find the complex killer and his incestuous crime in the grid, bar a dog-leg arrangement of his name in the centre bottom of the grid (and the first two letters of his name transposed) covering 5 of the 6 letters (no c) of his second crime. Can you supply any further hints ?
If I will do, ulysses....
The Killer and his "significant other" are to be found alternating letters on a diagonal.
Hi Cruciverbalist - I have just emailed you a scan of the 'Worthy of Note' version.
Thank you so much slaney. I can see them both now. I even looked along both diagonals before, but couldn't see the wood for the trees ! And even knowing that her name began with J.

Many thanks gen2 - I have printed this off now. In fact Worthy of Note by Glow-worm is now available online. Killer by Dysart will be next week's puzzle, so we have had a sneak preview ! I have spoken to someone at The Telegraph and any entries received this week will be put to one side for the following weeks draw. Another easy Listener next weekend and we shall be at a loose end on Sunday !
