thanks Lie-in King .. The Y was a faux-pas ! the 3 lettered clue for which I put "TRY" said "Three-point endeavour,say".. I realise it should be TRI. Cheers.
My medical dictionary didn't show astragalus even though I'd tried the anagram you stated...should've paid more attention in Biology !
